Mom's and Our Mental Health

For many, many years I suffered from anxiety, depression and anger, not knowing that I was  suffering from mental illness. Here I was with numerous degrees, an author of three books, a pretty impressive resume in both the Political and Education field, but yet there was something brewing inside of me that I could not explain or control.  It was as if my life, and all the experiences that encompassed it came crashing down on me.  Mental and emotional residue from being morbidly obese most of my young adult life, a tumultuous first marriage, miscarriage, low self esteem, rejection, post par tum depression, sexual promiscuity during my single years, and much more, added to the pyramid of mental and emotional illness that was planted deep inside me from childhood.
But thankfully, after decades of suffering, I, along with a great physician, counselor and the good Lord, have gotten to the root of my struggles. Mom's your mental health is paramount and if you have even an inkling that something is not right, please seek help!  Please listen to this entry and know that you are not alone and that you do not have to suffer. Listen and be blessed!
